Sports Chiropractic & Physiotherapy for Kaleen, Canberra
Expert Sports Injury Care, 4 Minutes from Kaleen
Strive Sports and Health runs a sports chiropractic and physiotherapy clinic in Giralang, four minutes from Kaleen along Maribyrnong Avenue. We treat sports injuries, back and neck pain, knee and shoulder problems, and the persistent niggles that keep you out of training.
The clinic sits inside Dynamiq Fitness on Canopus Crescent. That is deliberate. Most rehab ends at the point where you still cannot do the thing that hurt you in the first place.
Hands-on treatment settles the pain, you get a sheet of exercises, and then you are left to work out on your own whether you are ready to train again. That is where reinjury happens. Being inside a gym closes that gap. Your loading program runs on the equipment you will actually be using, at the loads you actually need to hit, with someone watching how you move. If you are coming back from an ACL reconstruction, the hop and landing testing happens on a real floor. If you are returning to lifting after a back injury, the bar is right there.
We combine hands-on treatment, progressive rehabilitation and education so the result holds. Whether you are dealing with a recent injury, ongoing pain, a sporting setback, or you simply want to move and perform better, our Canberra team can help.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist or chiropractor? No. Both are first-contact practitioners in Australia, so you can book directly with us. You only need a referral if you are claiming through Medicare under a chronic disease management plan, or if your treatment is part of a workers compensation or motor accident claim. If you are not sure which applies to you, contact the clinic and we will sort it out before your appointment. How long is an appointment? Initial consultations run 40 to 45 minutes. That gives us time to take a proper history, assess how you actually move, explain what is going on, and start treatment on day one. Follow-up appointments are 25 to 30 minutes. Can I claim through my private health fund? Yes. We have HICAPS at the Canberra clinic, so you can claim your rebate on the spot and only pay the gap. Bring your health fund card to your appointment. What you get back depends on your level of extras cover. Where are you, and is there parking?
We are at 7-8/72 Canopus Crescent in Giralang, inside DynamiQ Fitness and Wellness, about ten minutes from the Belconnen town centre. Free parking is available directly out the front, and the clinic is on local Transport Canberra bus routes.
Why is the clinic inside a gym? Because that is where rehab actually finishes. Most injury care settles the pain, hands you a sheet of exercises, and leaves you to work out on your own whether you are ready to train again. That gap is where reinjury happens. Being inside Dynamiq Fitness means your loading program runs on the equipment you will be using, at the loads you need to hit, with someone watching how you move. Coming back from an ACL reconstruction, the hop and landing testing happens on a real floor. Returning to lifting after a back injury, the bar is right there. Do you only treat athletes? No. We treat people across all ages and activity levels. Plenty of our patients have never played competitive sport and just want their back to stop hurting when they sit at a desk. The approach is the same either way: work out what is driving it, treat it, then build the strength so it does not keep coming back. We see a lot of back and neck pain, knee problems and Achilles tendinopathy from recreational runners.
